Works Contracts – Terms and conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS – Bookings and works contract unless stated otherwise. Please read (below form) carefully then fill in the form to confirm your booking.

  1. Great news! When you book your work with Plugged In Electricians, you agree to a skilled and regulated member of staff to carry out all of the work on your order with the parts either you supply or those on your parts list. In most cases you’ll have had a visit and assessment.
  2. In most cases a booking date is provided with a quote. For clear communication we ask that you agree to the work being carried out under these terms and conditions by replying to your quote email.
  3. Just so you know, sometimes, there are unforeseen problems or faults when we’re carrying out your scheduled work. As part of our promise put customers first we will always tell you of any further work that should be made for reasons of safety or convenience.
  4. Labour is charged at your list rate for the service requested. These prices are published on your account for transparent pricing. All service prices are regularly reviewed. These may change from time to time and will instantly update on your account. If a price alters during your project, then your original quoted price will remain the same, however, new orders of work will incur the current list price.
  5. We promise to always seek your approval of any additional work to be carried out at additional cost before the work is carried out.
  6. On projects that are over more than one day, there may be days and dates that your electrician is not available. These can alter during your project but we will promise to keep you informed and importantly complete your project.
  7. Parts we supply you with are all to British Standard at competitive prices. However, you can buy your own parts. As long as they are up to the current regulations and ready before your project starts, we’ll happily fit them for you. If we fit a part that we have supplied then free replacement fitting is included should your item be faulty during for 12 months. This does not apply to parts you’ve supplied.
  8. Deposits are sometimes needed on larger projects. Please pay no less than 3 days before the start date of your project.
  9. We kindly request that the invoices are paid any time within 3 days of the completion date. Pay however you want. Our preferred method of payment is Bank Transfer (bank details on invoice), though cash and cheques are acceptable Limits: BACS (preferred) no limit, cash (£2000 max limit), cheque (£5000 max limit).

  11. Certification and documentation (non financial) may be due to you on completion of your project. This will be available on your account under the order number relating to the work. This documentation is released after full payment from you but may take up to 14 days to appear on your account after payment has been logged.
  12. We promise to have clear communication and hope you never have a complaint, but if you do, then please just get in touch by phone or email and we’ll sort thing out. Our independent complaints process is managed by Trust Mark (a government endorsed scheme). Details are available on our website www.pluggedinelectricians.co.uk.
  13. We promise not to book any projects that interfere with your schedule so that we can best meet the deadline we’ve given you.
  14. Plugged In Electricians is a private limited company – reg number: 9913061. Director: Peta Heron, 39 Borwick Lane, Warton, Carnforth, LA59QN. Regulated by competent persons scheme (NAPIT). Fully insured. All documents available on request.
  15. Plugged In is a trading name of Plugged In Electricians ltd.
  16. Waste from your project. All waste created by your new installation or repair will be left ordered as best as possible for you to recycle for your domestic waste services, your commercial waste services or your local recycling centre. If a waste removal service has been engaged, then a we will make every reasonable effort to meet the requirement of that service.
  17. Plugged In Electricians ltd reserves the right to alter or add to these conditions without warning or notification. Terms and conditions are valid upon receipt of booking confirmation email per project / order. Any terms and conditions altered during your project which bear relevance to your project will be brought to your attention.
  18. Solar installation – additional contract document sent separately.
